  Chinese food is a very personal thing. One man's great meal is another man's bad experience. For me, New China fell towards the bad end of the scale.
  
  The service was friendly and my iced tea stayed topped off. The bar didn't match this experience; food was sparse and cold. I couldn't put my finger on it, but the egg drop soup just tasted... wrong. I don't know if it was the base or the stock, but I found the flavor unfamiliar and unpleasant. The hot and sour soup was the same way.
  
  The General Tso chicken, honey chicken, and sesame chicken were all soft; there was no crispiness left to the skin. The meat itself was mushy. My meal was not too long after normal lunch rush hours, but these felt like they'd been out on the bar since before lunch began.
  
  I'm going to give this location another try, likely during a busier time when the bar is being refreshed more often. As of now it's a choice I'd make only if I'm really craving Chinese and am too tired to drive to the next town over to eat.
